Stampede Rodeo & Bulls on the Beach – NEW!

Brace yourselves for a spine-tingling, earth-shaking weekend as The Stampede Rodeo, including the world’s most dangerous sport– “Bull Riding” thunders on to the Wildwoods beach Friday, May 16 and Saturday May 17, 2025. The weekend consists of two shows – one each evening at 7 p.m. on the beach at East Baker Avenue in Wildwood, NJ. Admission starts at $25 for adults and $12 for children 12 and younger. Gates open 2.5 hours before each performance and the fun begins with the Western Midway which will include western vendors, food trailers, as well as beer from MudHen Brewery. Kids can come early to participate in Sheep Riding & Stick horse racing at 6:30 p.m. During the performances, each showtime the event will feature girls’ barrel racing, trick riding, break-a-way, Spectator Bull Hockey, and of course, Bull Riding! Pinkster: A Jersey Dutch Celebration of Spring at Historic New Bridge Landing

Join the Bergen County Historical Society as they celebrate Pinkster, a Jersey Dutch Celebration of Spring on Sunday, May 18th 1 pm- 4:30 pm at Historic New Bridge Landing. Join BCHS Trustee Muriel Roberts at 1:15 pm and 2:15 pm for a pouring ceremony that honors and remembers the ancestors that have departed. The Tricorne Dance Ensemble under the direction of dance mistress Denise Piccino will then be dancing around the maypole at 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. They will also be performing a collection of 18th century dances throughout the day. Musical accompaniment for the dancers will be provided by Ridley and Anne Enlsow on the fiddle and hammered dulcimer. Join the Tricorne Dancers at 3 pm as they invite children to dance with them around the maypole. At 2:30 pm Marty Campanelli an independent schoolgirl needlework scholar and author will give a lecture that will cover samplers that were created throughout New Jersey from the late 1700s through the mid-1800s, and will spotlight regional styles from various countries, known schools and instructresses, and personal stories about some of the sampler makers. Wildwoods International Kite Festival – FREE

On the beach at Rio Grand Ave., Wildwood and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Celebrating 39 years in 2025! Event begins on Friday at noon outside of the Wildwoods Convention Center. Festivities following include opening of the Kite Sales Tent, Friday Night Social via the locatal kite club and the 9:00 p.m. Illuminated Night Kite Fly. Saturday includes the Silent and Loud Auctions (open to all); and Saturday & Sunday include the flying of large inflatable kites, team flying, as well as family games. Flags of Liberty Ceremony

Flags of Liberty is a moving patriotic event honoring the memories of our deceased veterans. In 2024, over 70 veterans were honored by unfurling their casket flags simultaneously on the seawall in North Wildwood. Spectators are invited to join the Greater Wildwoods Elks Lodge #1896 and The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement & Development Authority on Friday, May 23, 2025, during Memorial Day Weekend for this annual ceremony. New for 2025, the ceremony will take place on the Wildwoods Boardwalk. Participant check-in begins at 9 a.m. and the ceremony begins at 10 a.m. For those who want to honor a veteran by unfurling a casket flag in their memory, click here. Join us for a relaxing summer evening at WheatonArts to meet the resident artists and shop their latest work. 4th of July Parade and Picnic

The parade begins at 11:00 a.m. along a 1.6-mile route traveling west on Bloomfield Avenue, north on Midland Avenue, continuing to Watchung Avenue, west to Valley Road and ending at Edgemont Park, the site of the town picnic. The parade is a rain or shine event. The community Picnic will be from 1-4pm. Food trucks, music, games and activities will be on hand at the end of the parade route in Edgemont Park.  Video from last year
