Championing Tourism: Advocacy & Action for New Jersey's Travel Industry

NJTIA is proud to continue our decades long mission of serving as the voice of tourism to the state legislature and executive branch. During the 2024-2025 legislative session, NJTIA testified on the current state of tourism before the Assembly Tourism, Gaming, and the Arts Committee and successfully defeated legislation that would have taken dedicated hotel/motel occupancy funds away from the arts. Our team continues to seek amendments and pushback on onerous labor and environmental legislation that would harm our industry and support legislation that will enhance tourism in our great state.

The New Jersey Tourism Industry Association (NJTIA) actively plays a vital role in advocating for the tourism industry in New Jersey by focusing on these areas:

  • Supporting Tourism Funding: Lobbying for adequate state and federal funding to sustain and promote tourism initiatives.
  • Policy Development: Working with lawmakers and stakeholders to shape policies that benefit the tourism industry, including infrastructure improvements, marketing programs, and workforce development.
  • Economic Impact Awareness: Highlighting the significant contribution of tourism to the state’s economy and jobs.
  • Industry Representation: Acting as the voice of New Jersey’s tourism professionals at the local, state, and national levels.
